Important Announcement

Enrollment for grades K-12 for the 2009-2010 school year is now open to students on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t miss your chance to make a change in your students' education and to get your student thinking big!

Each student applying for enrollment in the school must complete the steps below in order to secure his or her spot.

How to Enroll

Apply Step 1. Complete Online Application

New Families set up a user account  
Returning Families continue your enrollment or check your student's enrollment status .  

Please note that kindergarteners must be five years old by September 1, 2009 in order to enroll. If you are enrolling the sibling of a returning student, please log in to your existing student account to add the new student enrolling.

Forms Step 2. Submit Required Forms
After you have completed the online application, fax or mail the following required documents:

 

  • Copy of student's official birth certificate
  • Proof of family residency (utility bill, tax statement, lease, or mortgage)
  • Copy of up-to-date immunization records
  • Copy of most recent IEP (students with special needs only)
  • Official school transcript (grades 10-12) or report card (K-9)
  • Proof of vision screening (if student is under seven years of age entering school for the first time and/or in kindergarten)
  • Utah enrollment acceptance form (this will be provided by UTVA upon acceptance of student’s enrollment)
  • Utah withdrawal form (this will be provided by UTVA upon acceptance of student’s enrollment)
  • Approval to enroll from current charter school (if applicable, after March 31, 2009)
  • Additional Required Documentation

Please submit these additional required documents within 7-10 days of completing the online application.

Upon receipt and successful review of submitted documents, if we have not reached our enrollment cap, your student will be approved. When/if we reach our cap, a waitlist will form. Waitlist offers will be extended as space becomes available. You may review your student’s enrollment status by logging into your online account.

Materials

Once your student(s) enrollment is approved, materials will be shipped prior to your student’s first day of school.

Orientation

Please plan on attending a live Parent Orientation, or other event in your area, before school starts. Check out our events calendar for a full listing. Also, there are additional online orientation sessions, which students in grades K-8 must attend during their first ten days of school. These sessions are designed to help students and parents get acquainted with the school, our teachers, and the K¹² curriculum, and ensure students have a successful start to the school year.

Teacher Assignment

Your teacher will contact you prior to the first day of school. This contact may be via email, phone and/or you may be invited to a new family event to meet your teacher.
