What is Flex?

The Flex program, available at most K12-powered schools, allows students in good academic standing to control their own schedule and optimize their learning time. Students can complete their coursework at their own pace each week when it works best for them, maintaining biweekly contact with their assigned teacher for feedback and support. Students can attend live virtual classes as needed and transition back to a more traditional online school model anytime.

Families have unique needs, and each student learns differently. The Flex program allows students the freedom to structure their school days and times around other commitments and when they’re at their best for learning. Flex enables students to optimize their learning and work at their own pace.

Students meet with their teacher twice weekly to check in on progress and receive support. This frequency is often sufficient to help students stay on track, but teachers are available for additional help and support as needed.

Parents can select the Flex program for their student upon enrolling at a K12-powered school where the program is offered.
